For over ten years, Anna Maria Kupper has been keeping her own diary in pictures. The camera accompanies the sculptor daily. In doing so, she follows a kind of obsession with observing, with 'looking at' the world and capturing images. A special resonance can elevate the moment. This process corresponds to the search for a sound, for what creates an impression, a memory in the mind. In the 220 images gathered here in a diary-like manner, people play an important role. They provide a balance to shots of landscapes, urban spaces, buildings, and interiors. In this balance, both motifs ultimately serve as allegories of her own life, which flows through this book with seriousness, cheerfulness, and at times, melancholy.
