Some secrets cannot be buried. Forensic archaeologist and single mother Ruth Galloway attends the ceremonial opening of a legendary bishop's coffin at King's Lynn Museum. When she enters the exhibition room, she finds the museum director: dead next to the coffin. Ruth is already in the middle of the investigation, although she actually has to prepare her daughter's birthday. It really doesn't help that her great love, of all people, is being put on the case.
