Alice im Quantenland

Alice sits bored in front of the television when her gaze falls on "Alice in Wonderland," which she recently read. She longs to experience similar adventures, stumbles, and faints. In her dream, she falls through the screen, where she - now shrunk - encounters the electrons that illuminate the screen as a beam. This is just the beginning of the story, in which Alice gradually learns about the peculiarities of the quantum world. She meets people like Niels Bohr, who take her under their wing, and becomes familiar with electrons and quarks. In this new version of Alice's story, Robert Gilmore - a respected physicist himself - knowledgeably and amusingly describes the wonders that the world of electrons and quarks has to offer.
