Albert Reble und die Lehrerbildung

The history of pedagogy and teacher education are the central concepts associated with the humanities educator Albert Reble and cannot be thought of separately in his case. This study of his writings in the biographical, academic and educational-political context brings to mind the discourse and the struggle for the academisation of elementary school teacher training since the beginning of the second half of the 20th century, which initially had its place mainly at the pedagogical academies or colleges and was later integrated into the universities. By defining Albert Ruble's position in the discourse of educational science, his merits for (elementary) teacher education and also the close, almost forgotten connection between educational science and (elementary) teacher education are shown.
