Today, the concept of resources is associated with new perspectives and methodological approaches in social policy, social work, education and psychology; the focus is on the abilities and possibilities of the client. The volume conveys a multidimensional concept of resources that combines the consideration of income, education, social networks, health and psychological 'capital' as essential resources for coping with life. Possibilities of allocating, promoting and utilising resources, the connection with the capability approach, the concept of salutogenesis and self-efficacy are conveyed. Furthermore, resource-related interventions in social work and forward-looking, scientifically based projects from practice are presented in detail.
