AL - Augustinus-Lexikon / Institutio, Institutum - Liber (libellus)

The Augustinus Lexicon is both a conceptual and a real lexicon. It lists terms, people, and things that are significant for the life, work, and teachings of Augustine in alphabetical order. To present broader contexts, the lexicon considers not only Augustine's biography and writings but also his church-political position, the personalities around him, and the contemporary historical context. Due to the vast and only partially researched influence of Augustine on later generations, the history of his impact is excluded. The articles are published in German, English, or French. Articles written in other languages are translated into one of the three languages in agreement with the contributors.
