Akzeptanz vollzeitschulischer Berufsabschlüsse auf dem Arbeitsmarkt

The significance of full-time vocational schools is closely linked to the shortage of apprenticeships in the dual system. Due to the apparent transition problems into the employment system, these vocational training offerings can only partially contribute to alleviating the apprenticeship market. Education policy relies on the results of vocational education research regarding the causes of these transition problems when developing solution strategies. In this context, the author bases his problem and cause analysis on theories and research findings from various social science sub-disciplines. To ensure an internal logical connection among these specific explanatory approaches, the General System Theory is used as a synthesizing method. The discussions are then concretized with an empirical example following the theoretical and conceptual considerations. The book is aimed both at all stakeholders in the German vocational education system and at social scientists who contribute to vocational education research through their work.
