Aktuelle Herausforderungen aus der Politik für Religion und Recht

The coalition agreement of the current federal government was the starting point for a Digital ZiRR Forum at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. This agreement contains a number of important political decisions for the future relationship between the state and religions in this country. It also reflects the convictions of the governing parties on important religious policy issues, which, in contrast to previous tradition, are more clearly characterised by a distance from the traditional Christian churches on the one hand and a desire to integrate minority religions into the cooperative relationship between church and religions in a religion-neutral and religion-plural state on the other. In this volume, theologians and lawyers comment on important questions concerning the place and relationship between the state and religions.
