The liberalisation and globalisation of the financial markets has led to investors taking advantage of global investment opportunities. At the same time, the diversity and complexity of financial products seem almost immeasurable. The financial crisis triggered in 2007 shook confidence in the financial markets and triggered a renewed debate on strengthening investor protection. It was not until April 2011 that new regulations for the protection of capital investors came into force with the Act to Strengthen Investor Protection and Improve the Functioning of the Capital Market (AnsFuG). The focus of the new law is on improving product transparency, protecting against false advice and fundamentally strengthening financial supervision. This work evaluates the central new regulations in investor protection law taking into account the reorganization of the financial market Aufsic.
