Volume 5 describes the interdisciplinary cooperation in the multi-professional team and the associated tasks of carers and therapists. The reference system between patient, carers and relatives plays a fundamental role in the interdisciplinary structure, e.g. with regard to information and counselling. ATP-G interventions require co-operation between different professions in the therapeutic, nursing, medical and social fields. In this edited volume, (nursing) scientists and practitioners with ATP-G expertise therefore write about the main areas of action and care: 1. aspects of relationship work, 2. movement and 3. self-care. The topics covered include oral and dental care, continence profiles and any necessary restraints, as well as maintaining quality of life through the use of ATP-G.
