The traffic turnaround is picking up speed: Initiatives are discussing free public transport, arguing for car-free city centers and organizing bicycle demonstrations with thousands of participants - sometimes in the middle of the highway. The climate movement is also currently generating many new ideas on how to tackle the urgent issue of climate-, environment- and people-friendly transportation.

The book is a snapshot of the strategies as well as actions of the movement for a traffic turnaround and gives impulses for its further development. It is also a plea for the diversity that makes the different movements so strong. Many authors from different groups of the climate justice movement and local traffic turnaround initiatives have contributed to this action book.
