For Agatha Raisin, it's time to turn her amateur detective work into a profession, and she opens her own detective agency. Her new neighbor, Emma Comfrey, applies to be her secretary and is quickly hired due to her assertiveness and detective skills. The first case for the detective agency involves a missing cat. It's a start, but there's plenty of room for improvement. When a young woman who has received a death threat needs protection, Agatha finally finds herself in her element. However, this also sets off a series of unfortunate events that put Agatha in the crosshairs.
