Agatha Raisin und das Geisterhaus

When the local newspaper reports on a haunted house in the neighboring village, Agatha's curiosity is piqued. However, as she snoops around, it turns out that there is no ghost at all. Instead, someone is playing pranks on the old and universally disliked homeowner, Mrs. Witherspoon. And then the old lady suddenly turns up dead. This, of course, provides even greater motivation for Agatha: after all, solving a crime is much more fun than chasing a ghost.
