An American magnate has died from a dozen knife wounds, and the door to his compartment is locked from the inside. Detective Hercule Poirot then leads the investigation in the train, which is cut off from the outside world. Agatha Christie (1890-1976) created the character of Hercule Poirot in her first crime novel and achieved immediate success. The "Queen of Crime" wrote 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, which have been translated into around 100 languages and have sold over two billion copies to date.
