Product details

Lovebirds, also known as Agapornis, have long been popular and commonly kept parrot species. Their calm demeanor and attractive coloration captivate the hearts of many bird enthusiasts who prefer the slightly smaller parrot species. In 2009, the author founded the European Preservation Project for Agapornis Species, aimed at the pure and mutation-free breeding of lovebirds in human care, to create a genetic reserve for these birds, which are heavily threatened in the wild. Together with breeders and zoos from seven countries, he is dedicated to this conservation project and saw it as an opportunity to write a current book about lovebirds, bringing attention to these charming birds and especially their species preservation. Care and breeding of lovebirds.
