The VEB Optima Office Machines Factory in Erfurt was not only one of the largest producers of typewriters and office machines in the GDR but also one of the most important employers in Erfurt. 200 photographs bring the diverse history of AEG, Olympia, and Optima from 1924 to 2004 back to life. The focus is on the employees, their workplaces, and their leisure time, as well as the development of the factory and its products.
