Blurb
A manual for your brain. Learning strategies for every student, especially those with the handicap of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), that lead to success. The gremlins of error no longer stand a chance. The OptiMind concept for grades 5 to 10. Targeted support for learning at school and at home, particularly for children with ADHD. The book is written in an engaging manner for children in grades 5 to 10 and offers numerous concrete tips and advice. It begins by introducing the comic characters Clever & Co. and the Error Gremlin Gang, providing a brief explanation of the theoretical background of attention disorders. Then it dives right in – with the never-ending story: homework – every beginning is tough, concentration, organization, time management, and motivation with many solution examples. In this new guide by the well-known pediatrician Dr. Elisabeth Aust-Claus and behavioral therapist Dr. Petra-Marina Hammer, years of practical experience on the topic of ADHD and school or learning are summarized.
