Adolescents in Eastern Uganda

"Adolescents in Eastern Uganda" is a comprehensive study that examines the nutrition of adolescents in the Iganga-Mayuge region of Uganda. This research analyzes the dietary habits of adolescents, who make up a significant portion of the population in East Africa. Despite their large numbers, little is known about the eating patterns of this age group. The findings indicate that the diet of adolescents in this region is characterized by low diversity and a lack of micronutrient-rich foods, while the consumption of fats and oils is high. The results suggest that targeted interventions are necessary to improve dietary habits, particularly through the involvement of parental contexts. This academic book provides valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities for enhancing the nutrition of adolescents in rural areas of Eastern Uganda.
