Test-Driven Development by Example

Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a new approach to application development aimed at eliminating the fear often associated with software development. While some fear can be healthy and serve as a conscience reminding programmers to be cautious, the author believes that programmers create better software when they have the freedom to be creative. By creating tests before starting to code, programmers ensure the success of their application from the very beginning. Students achieve more positive outcomes with TDD. The author's example-driven approach also teaches students to be better communicators and encourages team members to seek constructive criticism.
