Wilhelm Adolf Heinrich Adalbert von Harstall (March 18, 1737 in Treffurt; October 8, 1814 in Fulda) was the last prince-bishop of Fulda, known as Adalbert III. He was the son of the privy councilor Hartmann Ernst von Harstall and his wife Theresia von Redwitz. His godparents were the then prince-abbot of Fulda, Adolf von Dalberg, and Duke Wilhelm Heinrich of Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach. With him, the prince-bishopric of Fulda came to an end. Under pressure from Napoleon, the prince-bishopric was secularized. The secular authority initially passed to Prince Wilhelm V of Orange-Nassau, who then transferred it to his son Prince Wilhelm Friedrich of Orange, son-in-law of the King of Prussia and later King Wilhelm I of the Netherlands after Napoleon's defeat. However, Adalbert von Harstall remained the bishop of Fulda.
