Achim Leschinsky (born 1944 in Hanover) is a German educational scientist and emeritus professor at Humboldt University of Berlin. From 1963 to 1970, he studied medicine, history, classical philology, sociology, and educational science in Bonn, Berlin, and Hamburg, culminating in the state examination for higher teaching qualifications. In 1976, he earned his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Hamburg, followed by his habilitation in educational science at the Free University of Berlin in 1983. From 1973 to 1992, he worked as a research associate and project leader at the Max Planck Institute for Educational Research in the field of school and instruction under Peter M. Roeder. Since 1992, he has been a professor of school theory and school research at Humboldt University of Berlin.
