Achim Kreisel

Achim Kreisel (October 8, 1943; December 5, 2004 in Göttingen) was a teacher, conductor, and composer. Since 1969, he was an organist in Kalmar and then worked as a concert pianist, teacher, and briefly as a church musician. From 1974, he studied piano, later composition, and took conducting lessons. From 1982 to 1984, he evaluated the conductors of various countries. After that, he worked as a guest conductor in many countries across Europe and in the USA. Kreisel composed three operas, an opera oratorio (Verschränkte Zustände, 1986-88), two ballets, four oratorios, two melodramas, a symphony, and other symphonic works, as well as two violin concertos, one cello concerto, and one trumpet concerto, along with music for plays, radio dramas, and films.
