Accompanying self-study

For some years now, "self-study" has become the guiding concept in the educational landscape of universities and universities of applied sciences, but increasingly also of higher vocational schools and in adult education. More and more emphasis is being placed on the learners' own activity, independence and personal responsibility. How can this claim be realised in institutions that have so far defined themselves mainly through teaching and less through learning? This publication, which is primarily aimed at lecturers, collects and bundles a wide range of suggestions for a goal-oriented and varied implementation practice of self-study. The focus is on the practical description of implementation models. Special attention is paid to the stumbling blocks and difficulties that arise during implementation.
