Absinthe

Paris during the Belle Époque. The young painter Noël must sell his paintings; otherwise, he cannot afford his dream of living in Paris. The pressure leads to a creative block, and he can no longer put a brushstroke on the canvas.

His friend Toulouse-Lautrec persuades him to take a trip to the Moulin Rouge cabaret to spark new ideas. There, he meets the enigmatic Thujon, who inspires him again with his unconventional view of the world. Finally, with Thujon's help, the long-awaited success arrives. But Noël realizes too late the price he has to pay for his inspirations.
