Professionally grounded and transparent assessments in child protection are a challenge for those affected. The interdisciplinary assessment tool developed in Bern and Lucerne contributes to quality assurance and enhancement in practice. This book situates the tool within the broader context of assessments in child protection. It is primarily aimed at those conducting assessments of child welfare risks, particularly current and future users of the tool. The previously unpublished anchor examples from the assessment tool provide not only professionals in assessment services and child and youth welfare offices (KESB) but also other stakeholders involved in child welfare and its risks with a helpful framework for understanding risks and protective factors.
