For 10 years, the course using the syllable method has been in schools. Based on experiences and feedback, a revised edition for grade 1 has been developed. The Syllable Primer®, the workbook, and the writing course are now available in new editions. A new manual and new slides are also being released in line with this. The well-known and proven materials are still integrated into the course. The original edition of the Syllable Primer® can also be used with the new workbook. The revision mainly focuses on the first half of the Syllable Primer®. Here, the identification figures Mia and Mio are present in both text and image. The illustrations provide even more conversation and reading prompts. Children will make their first reading experiences with the Syllable School module: here, consonants are read only in co-articulation with vowels. Beginning readers are to be engaged in this.
