Aare - alles im Fluss

Slowed down by the Corona virus in his international projects, Michel Roggo photographed intensively in the Aare and its tributaries for three years. In the process, he discovered a surprisingly diverse and beguilingly beautiful underwater world. The first free works triggered a commission from the Renaturalisation Fund RenF of the Canton of Bern. With a focus on renaturalised waters, Roggo now worked throughout the canton of Bern. From the smallest streams with undulating plant fields in the Oberland to the Aare in the Seeland with dense underwater jungles. With crawling insects, fat carp, filter-feeding mussels, amorous toads and busy beavers. The waters of the Aare unite an incredible and never expected abundance of life: hidden beneath the surface and now made accessible to a wide audience through this magnificent illustrated book.
