A House Divided

Haiko Hörnig was born in 1984 and grew up in his parents' comic shop. After starting his career as a copywriter, he focused entirely on his passion: creating stories. Together with Joscha Sauer, he developed the scripts for the Nichtlustig animated series. Alongside Ralph Ruthe, he wrote the script for the HNO-WG feature film as well as several audio plays, including Der Christkind Code. For Deutsche Bahn, he has been coming up with the adventures of the little ICE for over 10 years. For YouTube stars Paluten and GermanLetsPlay, he wrote the comics Der Golemkönig and Im Wirbel der Welten, both of which made it onto the Spiegel bestseller list. Marius Pawlitza was also born in 1984 and has been drawing since he could hold a pencil. As an art director for agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy, he created international campaigns and won dozens of creative awards. As a freelance illustrator, he has published several books, including the children's books Das Klo and Der Christkind Code (both with Ralph Ruthe and Haiko Hörnig). His latest project is the continuation of the ??? graphic novels Rocky Beach with author Christopher Tauber.
