24-Stunden-Wirtschaft in Ghana

In an effort to use time more efficiently, cities in industrialized countries have evolved from a daytime society to a 24-hour society. Several factors contribute to cities striving for 24-hour operations, such as the congestion caused by daytime activities, the need to maximize economic activities, and the creation of a favorable social environment where people can engage. Additionally, the necessity to enhance the competitiveness of cities in the global landscape plays a role. In Ghana, this concept has received very little scientific attention so far. In fact, there is a lack of the foundational structure to enable transformative activities like 24/7 operations in the country. Furthermore, the available services are either time-restricted or, at best, limited, yet still aligned with gentrified service hours.
