Product details
The expansion of infrastructure and densification in urban centres are increasing the importance of construction in soil and rock as well as the requirements for sustainable concepts and construction methods in the construction and maintenance of underground structures. For new buildings and existing facilities, this results in significant engineering challenges from a geotechnical point of view, which are presented and discussed at the colloquium Building in Soil and Rock. Held every two years at the Technical Academy Esslingen (TAE), the symposium and accompanying exhibition has gradually established itself as a leading event in southern Germany and neighbouring German-speaking countries over the last 25 years. The colloquium Building in Soil and Rock is aimed at engineers and scientists who work in planning or consulting offices, construction companies, administrations, universities and associations on the further development of techniques and processes in geotechnics.
