125 Jahre Gartensiedlung Gronauer Wald

In 1897, Anna and Richard Zanders purchased a large wooded area south of the Zanders paper factory in Bergisch Galdbach. There - following the example of English garden cities - the garden settlement Gronauer Wald was created. Even today, 125 years after its foundation, the settlement is a gem of historical and urban planning significance. This book brings together many historical and current photos, interesting facts about the founders and architects as well as reports by residents about life in the settlement. It also presents the work of the ' Friends of the Gronauer Wald Garden Settlement', which has been dedicated to the preservation and further development of the settlement since 2008.
