The aim of the SingLiesel books is to activate and engage individuals with dementia. The sing-along and experience books connect to the musical memory, which largely remains intact even as the disease progresses. At the core of the SingLiesel books are illustrated (folk) songs that can be played and sung along to, complemented by tactile feel and flap elements. The SingLiesel thus becomes a multisensory book that appeals to all the senses. The musical recordings of the songs, the illustrations, and the tactile elements are designed to touch individuals with dementia and encourage them to look, sing, and tell stories. They aim to bring joy to those affected by dementia. The goal of the SingLiesel books is to help enhance the quality of life for individuals with dementia.
