The rabbit house with a gable roof from Swisspet is a charming wooden house that provides a retreat for your guinea pigs and/or dwarf rabbits in their enclosure. Wood is a natural and breathable material, making it very suitable for small animal furnishings. The rabbit house is made from FSC-certified spruce wood. Since the house is nailed together, it is important to regularly check that it is not excessively chewed to prevent injuries. If used long-term in an outdoor enclosure, we recommend treating it with an animal-friendly weatherproof varnish.

Note: Since guinea pigs and rabbits are social animals, they should be kept in groups of at least two for proper care. Additionally, please ensure that the animals have multiple retreat options, ideally where all animals can fit together. There should also be several opportunities for the animals to engage in activities. The legally mandated minimum sizes do not equate to an ideally animal-friendly environment. As a general rule: the larger, the better. Therefore, for a truly happy animal life, we recommend choosing the largest possible habitat and ensuring that rabbits and guinea pigs have permanent access to several square meters of space.
