Dogs are prone to tartar formation. Tartar begins with soft deposits (plaque), which mainly consist of bacterial cultures and harden through the deposition of minerals. Consequences of tartar can include increased bacterial accumulation, gum inflammation, tooth loss, chronic pain, and bad breath. The bacteria can enter the bloodstream.

Certain enzymes in a dog's saliva can help prevent the formation of tartar. When PHA Dental Protection is added to the food, it promotes saliva production through the dried seaweed powder, thereby increasing the release of such enzymes. Hard tartar becomes softer and dissolves. Additionally, the red algae content in the seaweed powder contains specific ingredients known to delay the formation of plaque. Regular administration of PHA Dental Protection significantly reduces or delays the formation of plaque and tartar. Improved oral hygiene not only enhances the animal's quality of life through prolonged dental health but also makes living with the pet more enjoyable.

Feeding instructions
It is recommended to mix PHA Dental Protection into the daily food ration.

Recommended amount of the feed supplement:
Depending on body weight (BW), dogs should receive once a day:

up to 20 kg BW: 1 measuring spoon
up to 30 kg BW: 1½ measuring spoons
over 30 kg BW: 2 measuring spoons

Recommended feeding duration:
Administration should generally be carried out for at least 4 weeks. Continuous administration or interval dosing as needed is possible.
