Inflammation is a complex and necessary protective response of the immune system to harmful stimuli such as infections and tissue damage through various mechanisms. Therefore, inflammation has been considered a part of immunity against foreign invaders and dangerous molecules. In general, the cellular and molecular processes that occur during the inflammatory response minimize the potential cause of inflammation. However, when this relief process occurs uncontrollably, it contributes to the development of many inflammatory diseases. Thus, the main issue with inflammation, which is part of the immune system, is not how often it flares up, but how often it subsides. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are routinely used in veterinary medicine to combat inflammation, for example, in traumatic wounds, to induce analgesia, and to control allergies and various disease conditions. They are used not only for their anti-inflammatory effects but also for their analgesic and antipyretic properties.
