UV-B rapid test
The UV-B Quick Test is a quick and easy way to determine whether the UV agent used is still emitting enough radiation. The card measures the intensity of UV-B rays, UV-B fluorescent lamps or UV-B compact lamps, using a new non-toxic and environmentally friendly high-tech detection material printed on the card. A colour change on the card indicates whether UV-B radiation is still being emitted. The colour of the field on the card changes from white to purple depending on the strength of the UV-B intensity. The card can be reused up to 500 times. But this card is also a great tool for testing whether the amount of UV-B is too high in the wild. If the colour of the card changes to purple, it is better to find a shady spot.
How to use: This reusable card can detect UV-B radiation within 10 seconds. Hold the card under the UV lamp directly into the spot (distance to the lamp approx. 5 cm) to check whether the lamp still emits UV-B radiation. If a "purple field" is displayed on the card under the UV lamp, it means that the lamp is still emitting UV-B radiation.
Caution: Replace UV lamps annually or sooner. The card is only a guide. If the card shows no colour, the UV-B lamp should be replaced immediately!
