The heating plate provides the little ones with a safe, dark shelter, replacing the warming feathers of a hen. To eat and drink, the chicks must leave the warm plate, which helps them acclimate more quickly. Unlike a heat lamp, the plate does not produce light that disrupts the chicks' day-night rhythm. Additionally, the power consumption is significantly lower compared to infrared lamps.
