Exo Terra Halogen Basking Spot energy-efficient broad-spectrum bulb 50W (1 piece)

Halogen lamps are an advanced variant of incandescent bulb technology. One of the main reasons that shortens the lifespan of bulbs is the evaporation of tungsten inside the bulb. By adding a tiny amount of halogen gas inside the bulb, the tungsten is removed from the glass envelope through a chemical reaction and redeposited back onto the filament. This process extends the lifespan of the bulb. The higher temperatures of halogen lighting contribute to a whiter light, a higher light output, and greater efficiency.
