Product details
Heating mats for glass terrariums. Ideal for all glass terrariums. For mounting underneath or on the side of terrariums, rubber spacers are included. Conductive heat source for reptiles, amphibians, spiders, or planted terrariums. Contributes to temperature regulation, which is important for metabolism, digestion, appetite, and activity. Safe, even heat distribution. Ultra-thin and self-adhesive. Reptiles and amphibians are cold-blooded animals and often use sun-warmed surfaces as a heat source in their natural habitat. The Exo Terra Heat Mat mimics these sun-warmed surfaces. It is an ideal primary or secondary 24-hour heat source for tropical reptiles and amphibians or for reptiles and amphibians from temperate zones. Additionally, it serves as an important heat source during the night for many desert species. The heating mat can be permanently attached to the terrarium. The strong adhesive ensures optimal heat transfer. The Exo Terra Heat Mat can be used in conjunction with an Exo Terra thermostat and/or additional heat sources for reptiles and amphibians with higher temperature needs. The surface temperature of the heating mats ranges from 30 °C to 34 °C at an ambient temperature of 18.5 °C, but the temperature may vary depending on the conditions under which it is used.
