Product details
The Exo Terra Glow Light allows you to mount heat and/or light sources where they are needed in the terrarium. The device is sturdily constructed and features a metal reflector, a heat-resistant porcelain socket, and a spring-loaded clamp. It can be easily turned on and off with a switch and can be mounted with an extra-long power cable.
The inside of the reflector is coated with a highly reflective, luminous layer that continues to glow long after the lamp has been turned off. This allows diurnal reptiles or amphibians to retreat to their nighttime burrows or hiding spots without stress. The moonlight-like glow enables nocturnal reptiles or amphibians to see clearly without disrupting their night cycle.
It is also ideal for observing animals at night without having to turn on bright lights, which could cause stress and disorientation. The coating reflects otherwise wasted light rays and stores light energy during the day to slowly release it at night. This makes this fixture more energy-efficient compared to conventional fixtures.
It does not require an additional night bulb as long as it is not used as a heat source. One or more Exo Terra Glow Lights can be mounted along the edge of the terrarium or aquarium and directed towards the heat spots using the spring-loaded clamp. They can also be placed anywhere on the metal mesh cover.
