The Repti Glo 5.0 tropical terrarium fluorescent tube is ideal for all tropical and subtropical reptiles. It provides a moderate to high UVB output, similar to what is found in shaded environments such as rainforests or other tropical locations. Reptiles living in these habitats receive less UV radiation due to the many elements that prevent direct sunlight from reaching the animals and their basking spots. The humidity in these areas is quite high, which filters out some of the UV rays.
