Your squirrel house is made from untreated 2 cm thick Palatinate FSC wood, making it stable and compact, without emitting harmful substances or dangerous materials. The roof is water-repellent, coated with natural and safe terrace oil, and can withstand heavy rain. This ensures that the young squirrels inside always stay dry.

Our wood grows in Rhineland-Palatinate and comes from sustainable forestry with FSC certification. Your squirrel nesting house is handcrafted by people with disabilities, less than 50 km away. The sustainable terrace oil and the waterproof natural paint for our logo, which we apply by hand, are sourced from Germany.

The untreated wood comes directly from Palatinate forests where squirrels live, giving them a familiar feeling. Our squirrel house features 3 extra entrance holes that serve as escape routes when predators approach. The Erdenfreund animal houses have no sharp edges or pointed corners.
