When starting up for the first time, a reset should be possible by pressing up and down (simultaneously). Unfortunately, nothing happens for me

Try first briefly on m and then 3 but on m. Perhaps a reset is not necessary.
I also found out yesterday. You always have to press M first for approx. 3s and then I can select altitude or speed or saved positions
