For the first time, Metz Textil und Design breaks with its own tradition – but the company from Aschau am Inn does so for a good innovative reason and with a clear green conscience: Instead of the usual genuine wool felt, Metz Textil und Design uses Violan for this table decoration, a purely plant-based felt developed through years of experimentation. The material feels just as high-quality as soft merino wool felt, but is made from plant residues and wood fibers. Pleasantly soft to the touch, extra absorbent, allergen-free, biodegradable, and completely non-toxic, so that small children can safely put the felt in their mouths! Moreover, each placemat and every optionally available table runner can be washed with a gentle detergent at 30°C without spinning – even true wool felt fans will be impressed!.
