Violan Round

Violan coasters in a round shape. For the first time, Metz Textil & Design breaks with its own tradition – but the company from Aschau am Inn does so for a good innovative reason and with a clear green conscience: Instead of using the usual real wool felt, Metz Textil & Design relies on Violan for this table decoration, a purely plant-based felt developed through years of experimentation. The material feels just as high-quality as soft merino wool felt, but is made from plant residues and wood fibers. It is pleasantly soft to the touch, highly absorbent, allergen-free, biodegradable, and completely non-toxic, allowing even toddlers to safely put the felt in their mouths! Furthermore, every round or square coaster for glasses, mugs, and bowls, like any optionally available table set, can be washed at 30 °C with a gentle detergent without spinning – even true wool felt fans won't be able to resist!.
