Product details

The prominent Baroque painter Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn created paintings, etchings, and drawings, producing prints in many versions. In the glass artwork "Rembrandt - The Anatomy Lecture," the Dutch artist focused on the study of the human body by depicting the process of dissection. Well-dressed surgeons, with the main figure even wearing a hat, convey an impression of the state of medicine and the almost ceremonial character of this anatomical lecture. The original oil painting was completed in 1632 and is now housed in the Mauritshuis in The Hague. The anatomy lesson can be ordered as a high-quality art print on glass in various sizes for home display. Like all works of the Dutch artist, this one is characterized by its expressive portrayal of the depicted figures.
