A wardrobe evolves with fashion – the S1521 wall wardrobe by Thonet was adapted to current needs in 2013. The wall wardrobe now offers significantly more storage space and a robust, durable, translucent mesh for hat storage. It also features ten concealed hooks for hanging garments or other items. The wardrobe can also be used as a shoe rack.

The updated design is based on the predecessor model B52/1, which was already designed in 1931 and was modern for its time.

The S1521 pairs excellently with Thonet's tubular steel furniture, such as the well-known cantilever chair S35 by Marcel Breuer, as well as the S533 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Ulrich Böhme's rocking chair, or the flexible and versatile USM modular furniture.
