Melissa, also called lemon balm, is a perennial herbaceous lemon-scented plant that prefers temperate, warm climates. Lemon balm grows up to 1 meter tall, has small white flowers, and strongly fragrant ovate leaves. It is also popularly known as immen leaf or honey flower. In naturopathy, lemon balm is used for skin, respiratory, and stomach complaints, as well as for tension and insomnia.
