Product details
The essential oil of Ceylon cinnamon bark organic 30% (bot. Cinnamomum zeylanicum) has a sweet-spicy, warm scent and is a heart note. The fragrance theme is warming, stimulating, and inspiring.
The "Ceylon" cinnamon bark comes from the cinnamon tree, a tropical evergreen tree native to Sri Lanka, South India, and Madagascar. The cinnamon tree can grow up to 15 meters tall, but it is usually pruned in cultivation to keep it bushy and low, encouraging the growth of additional shoots. The harvested bark pieces are rolled into mats and fermented to develop an intense aroma. Cinnamon is used as a spice, for flavoring food, and as an essential oil. Through steam distillation, the shavings produced during the making of cinnamon bark rolls and the spice production of true Ceylon cinnamon are processed into essential oil. When diluted with grape spirit, it reveals a rounded scent.
Recipe for Foot Oil "Cozy Socks"
For a warming foot massage, ideal for people who easily feel cold.
Ingredients
Add a maximum of 7 drops of Ceylon cinnamon bark organic 30% to 30 ml of organic sesame oil. Massage the feet and toes vigorously until they are well-blooded. Then put on warm socks.
Good to know:
Cinnamon is not just cinnamon. The origin of the cinnamon makes the difference. There is a distinction between cinnamon from Sri Lanka, South India, and Madagascar, which is referred to as "Ceylon cinnamon." The cassia cinnamon or Chinese cinnamon tree (bot. Cinnamomum cassia) primarily grows in China. Both essential oils contain a high percentage of cinnamaldehyde, which is why they should never be applied directly to the skin. Ceylon cinnamon also contains eugenol and has a soft, rounded scent. Cassia cinnamon contains a high amount of coumarin, and its essential oil smells more hay-like and somewhat duller than Ceylon cinnamon.
