Pappnoptikum 1071 - The green treasure of the monks (sustainable grass paper advent calendar)

"The Green Treasure of the Monks" is an adventurous treasure hunt for the 24 plants of a Hortulus garden in the form of an Advent calendar - inspired by the "Liber de cultura hortorum" from the 9th century. The illustrator Natalia Grebenjuk used the ruins of the Altzella monastery park near Nossen/Saxony as the motif for the calendar. We thank the team of the Altzella monastery park for their support in the development, especially in naming the Advent calendar. Those who want to learn more about the Hortulus garden in Altzella and the life of the monks during the time of the Cistercian monastery can deepen their knowledge through one of the themed tours on site.

Sustainability and regional production are important to us. This calendar was created in collaboration with the Arnold printing company: completely environmentally friendly on sustainable printing materials with certified bio printing inks, free from mineral oils and heavy metals, with process-free printing plates that require no chemicals in the development process, alcohol-free, produced with a Premium PSO certificate and exclusively with green electricity - climate-neutral and vegan. Due to the special manufacturing process and materials, it has a slightly different color palette than our conventional Advent calendars. Because of the texture of the grass paper, each calendar is a small unique piece.
